• We are a full gospel / evangelical church.
• We accept the whole Bible as the inspired and infallible Word of God, and we seek to implement its teaching as much as possible.
• We believe we are obliged to share and spread the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
• We hold to the Bible’s teaching that ‘Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever’ (Hebrews 13:8) and that Jesus is ‘the way, the truth and the life’ and that no one can come to the Father except through Him (John 14:6).
• We place a high emphasis on Biblical teaching, with the Spirit and the Word in balance.
• We believe in an emphasis on the pattern, programme, purity and teaching of the early Church (Acts 2:42) and not humanistic, cultural interpretations of Scripture.
• We teach a literal interpretation of Scripture (with ‘spiritualisation’ carefully dealt with).
• We hold to a pre-millennial worldview with a distinct future and purpose for Israel, and a literal millennium following the return of Christ on this earth.
• We believe in New Testament spiritual gifts and ministries.
• We believe that signs and wonders should follow the preaching of the Word, and not replace it.
• We are careful not to follow every trend which claims to be ‘what the Holy Spirit is saying’, but instead we seek to test and weigh all things.
• We believe Three Mile Cross Church is a place where Christians – hurt and damaged by trends, or erroneous teachings – can come to be built up and edified through the ministry of the saints (Ephesians 4:11-16).
