Who We Are
We are an independent church which meets every Sunday morning and evening worship, prayer, Bible teaching and time together.
The children enjoy being part of the lively Sunday School, which runs during the morning sermon session.
We seek to be a church as described in God’s Word by being doers – not just hearers – of His Word (James 1:22). We believe that as the Body of Christ, we are to ‘bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.’ (Galatians 6:2).
Simply put, we desire to live out Christianity as it is demonstrated by Jesus and His followers in the Bible.
What We Do
We have weekly (usually Tuesday) house groups, which meet in various places around Berkshire. These are great places to grow in faith and knowledge through Bible study, in harmony with other believers (10-15 people per group).
Other activities during the year include visits to care homes, outreach events, ladies and men’s meetings, youth events, teaching days and social events.
Prayer is central to everything we do because, without Jesus, we can do nothing (John 15:5). We meet regularly to pray for God’s kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven (Matt 6:9-13). We also arrange special prayer meetings to focus on Israel, the nation, and any other needs.
We have links with other churches and ministries locally, nationally and abroad. Well-known Christian leaders visit from time-to-time to keep us updated with world events, as they relate to the Bible.
As part of working for God at Three Mile Cross, we have the privilege of running a Christian School on site. The Vine Christian School provides children of all ages with a robust academic education, firmly rooted in the Bible. See their website for more information.
